We follow a loose map and co-create the journey together as a group.
Some Milestones on the journey will be:
Getting to know each other, creating coherence in a group of men.
From there starting to look at the map of resources and resilience in our ancestral field in order to have a firm base for our exploration.
Often we are so focused on the challenges of the Past, that we forget to see the strength of our ancestors. Accepting these resources is the beginning of a healing journey.
We will then start working with our relationship as Sons with our Fathers - the first man in our life.
We explore further the lives of our grandfathers and other men in our family, in order to see the bigger picture of the lineage we are standing in as men.
By including our Mother, Grandmothers and the other women in our family line, we learn more about the way we have been influenced and shaped by women.
We will look at specific patterns that repeat in the family or your own life, through accidents, broken relationships, health problems, problems in your working life etc.
By bringing awareness to these patterns, recognizing it and seeing the historical connections, we have a possibility to move ahead and step out of repetitive cycles.
Am I free to be Me?
Sometimes we had to sacrifice our own individual gifts in order to find belonging within our family or origin.
By becoming aware of this, and finding support from other men, we can make the next step in truly becoming ourselves, embracing our unique gifts and challenges.
Relationship between the Masculine & Feminine
We will explore how the relationship between men and women, between masculine and feminine within them have shaped narratives and beliefs in the family and how this still affects us living our relationships today.
We will conclude the journey with a Ritual of Integration to receive the final blessings from your Ancestors, and that guides you as man to find the right relationship to the resources and challenges of your ancestral roots.
By walking this journey as men together, and bringing our individual stories into a shared group space, we also open to the collective dimensions of the men that came before us – stories, values, narratives, traumas and powers that are more universal than personal – and finding a new orientation for living the complexity of modern life as a man right now.
